Andean Pride pastas are made in an entirely gluten-free facility from an Organic Royal Quinoa flour base mixed with organic rice flour to enhance consistency. These two simple ingredients are carefully combined with an organic, all-natural binding agent to create a line of dry pastas that present a perfect, dense texture either al dente or fully boiled. Our vegan-friendly pastas are crafted in three recognizable styles: Pipe Rigate for thick sauces, Rotini for salads or sautés, and Macaroni for soups and baked dishes. You’ll find everything you love about traditional pastas, with the clear-cut superiority found in the protein, fiber, and nutrients of Royal Quinoa.

Tarwi Pasta

 

While new to the rest of the world, tarwi beans have been prized in the Andes since ancient times. Tarwi beans have comparable nutritive attributes to soybeans, but with an extra dose of lysine. Lysine is an essential amino acid, usually found in lean meats. In traditional use, tarwi flour was used to make healthy breads. Here, organic tarwi flour is added to our classic pasta recipe to create an unmistakable gluten-free rotini with even MORE protein and phosphorus per serving than our standard organic quinoa-based pastas. Just a measure of tarwi flour creates a slightly earthy flavor ideal for mushrooms, truffle, or smoked ingredients.
